(my) Apple and I just returned from a wonderful 10 day run of my old home NYC to take part in the crazed Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. It was mostly work for her as she runs production on the show shooting inside FW, and I get to be a “housewife of NY” :-)
So many different designers showcasing wonderful pops of color and patterns for the spring time. While watching Concept Korea’s runway, there were two that stood out. For the girls, Big Park by Park Younsoo…gorgeous dresses with flirty and bold patterns. Toss on your go to leather jacket and you have a great individual look that mimics the urban wardrobe designer Park was going for. For the boys, beyond closet by Tae Yong…bright, bold color blocking and graphics on the classic preppy look.
The Reem Acra (dress) collection took me back to the disco golds and liquid metallic fabrics…so many pieces had the red carpet appeal and I’m sure I’ll be seeing at least one of these dresses as Awards Season is around the corner!
We are home for the day as we repack for San Francisco. Today marks the anniversary of Sept 11…a day I will never forget since I lived in NY through that sad and scary day. Spending these last few days in New York, I loved seeing the bustle on the streets leading up to today and even more in love with this city as they have Fashion Week during the same time. It truly is a concrete jungle where dreams are made of.
As we all run around doing our day in, day out duties, take a moment to look into the clouds, face tilted towards the sun and inhale the peace of the day.
Love and light to you all ~
